How to Host a Retreat (Without Going Broke)

Instagram makes retreats look dreamy. The reality? It's event planning on hard mode. If you don't do the math, you will pay for your students' vacation.

The Rule of 30%

Never book a venue that requires more than 30% down. Your first few sign-ups should cover this deposit immediately.

The "Break-Even" Number

Calculate your break-even point conservatively. If you need 10 students to break even, and you only get 8, you are paying out of pocket. Price it so you break even at 6.

The Upsell

Don't just sell the retreat. Sell the "Preparation Course" before and the "Integration Course" after. Make it a 3-month experience, not a 1-week vacation.
