They texted you at 5:50 PM: "Stuck in traffic! So sorry!" Do you charge them? If you don't, you are telling them your time isn't valuable.
The "First Strike" Rule
Give every student one "Get Out of Jail Free" card per year. Track it. "I'll waive it this time because I know life happens, but just a reminder of the 12-hour policy for next time."
The Automated Charge
Don't send an invoice. Have a card on file (Studio Planner does this). Charge the fee automatically. It's less personal, more professional.
